Minimum Qualifications:
Degree-seeking graduate student in the Department of Nutrition. Teaching Associates must be currently enrolled or admitted to a CSULA graduate degree program. The successful application will work effectively, respectfully, and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural and inclusive settings.
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicant should display an ease and comfort interacting with students of all ethnicities. Good organizational skills and ability to convey information clearly to undergraduate or post bacc students is necessary
Hiring Criteria:
The successful applicant should be an effective writer and communicator, possess basic technology competencies, have a compatible schedule with course to be assisted and a minimum G.P.A of 3.5.
Duties:
Under supervision of faculty, successful candidate will teach the NTRS 4180 - 02 activity in the post bacc and the NTRS 4540 course. For NTRS 4180, they will be required to attend the lecturer associated with the activity they are teaching.
Salary:
Current Teaching Assistant Academic Year range, $3,245 - $7,598.
Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Per Unit rate is $1,298.
